COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EVALUATION
I. Attendance and Participation
Students are expected to attend all class sessions. Since pupils
depend on you, make every effort to attend all sessions and
participate in all course activities. Inadequate attendance will
have an effect on course standing (grades).II. Clinical Tutoring
Each student will tutor 2 pupils. As part of the tutoring assignment
each student will:
- A. Complete a diagnostic report including tentative interventions and recommendations. Due: Mid-Term; July 15, 1998.
B. Present daily plans reflecting objectives, procedures, materials and evaluation(see form).
1. Students are expected to use a variety of materials which include a mixture of commercial and home-made materials.
2. Each session should contain some reading of children's literature.
3. Each session should involve some aspect of the writing process.
C. Complete a Case Study following outline provided. Final Case
study due July 30, 1997. (3 typed copies, labelled)III. Case Conference
Each student will be responsible for a case review where one case
will be elaborated on for the group. The case review should focus
on the diagnosis, the remedial/corrective program and evaluation.IV. Evaluation:
