COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EVALUATION

1. Attendance:

Seminar and library work session attendance are required. More than one absence will have an effect on course standing.

3. Requirements:

a. "Status of the discipline' annotated list related to
controversies in the current literature in reading and
language arts.

a. Participate in a needs assessment process in order to
identify primary trends & issues in Reading and
language arts for class investigation.

b. Students will become familiar with current library
technology related to conducting research in reading
and language arts.

c. Contribute to the development of a portfolio related to areas identified as primary trends and issues.

d. Each student will attend a professional conference.
