COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EVALUATION
Requirements:
1. Attendance:
There are no formal class sessions scheduled for this course. Other class contact is by individual appointment based on student need - usually two or three a semester.
2. The Research Project:
Each student will conduct an applied research project related to reading and language arts methods, materials and/or programs. Each project will follow the following design:
a. An introduction which includes a statement of hypothesis.
b. An overview of the literature related to the hypothesis.
c. The research design or procedures
d. The results
e. Conclusions and recommendations
f. Bibliography3. Students will provide periodic summaries of progress and present
a final paper - due in May.4. The student will submit two typed copies of the research report.
