Finally,
it has arrived! Our latest issue of The Literacy Looking Glass has
been a long time coming. In between last issue and this one,
editorship has shifted from the esteemed Adrienne Chasteen Snow to a
partnership between Amanda Volponi and Jeremy Coster. We realize the
challenge of filling such shoes and hope that our efforts have
produced an informative collection of our students' work from the
Fall 2006 semester.
The
five research studies and one literature review in Volume 5 Number 1
present a fresh look at classroom realities and effective strategies
for dealing with a variety of learning styles. Our purpose is to
make the most current student research available to reading and
language arts professionals who wish to stay abreast of current
trends in the field. We hope that the information contained herein
will contribute to the success of your students.
We
would like to thank all who helped us along on our maiden voyage as
co-editors. Doctors Cathy Kurkjian and Kenneth Weiss offered
some practical editing and formatting advice. Special thanks to
Chris Abadiano, Chad Albert, and all the folks at the Faculty
Computing Center and Information Technology for assisting us as
fledgling web designers. Your donation of valuable time is much
appreciated.
We
invite you to enjoy this current issue and visit our comment box to
