CONTENT AREA WEBSITE ACTIVITY

You will select a book(s) around which you will develop a series of 5 website activities and which tie in with designated curriculum areas of science, social studies, math, art, music, health/physical education, and language arts. The steps involved in this project are:

  1. Select a text or text set that you would like to use or that you already use with your students related to your unit
  2. Read book(s) and write a brief summary highlighting main idea or theme of text(s). Create a list of topics addressed in the book.
  3. Determine curriculum areas that match your list.
  4. Select at least one website for each area of your curriculum and write activities to correlate with the websites.

Design slides or web pages modeled on the sample provided in the syllabus.

It should include: 1) Summary of book(s), 2) Name, address, and brief summary of websites, with live links 3) described activity, its connection to the book and curriculum area it addresses, 4) Super Search questions per website, and 5) Additional Source section. (An example to be posted)

6.The Content Project has be designed and implemented to differentiate instruction in light of element 2.2.
Student artifacts and reflection on project is included. Reflections discusses student learning and response to the project, project strengths, weaknesses, and what was learned.
